Measurement in Word

Generally, measurements in Microsoft Word (on the ruler, or the margins) show up in inches. However, if you would like to view measurements in another unit, or if measurements are not showing up in inches, you can change this.
- Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
- Select the General tab.
- Click the arrow next to the Measurement Units drow down box and select your preferred units of measure.
- Click OK.
